The Making of Dangerous Crosswinds
Jim McCrackin’s documentary The Making of Dangerous Crosswinds is now available for viewing both below and on YouTube. This 27-minute film was produced in the spring of 2005 primarily as a promotional vehicle for the numerous screenings of Dangerous Crosswinds and, at the time, was broadcast on several public access stations in New Hampshire.
The behind-the-scenes footage was shot by RJ Norton during the two-week shoot in the spring of 2004. Jim subsequently interviewed many of the key players (Marc Vadeboncoeur, Jeff Rapsis, Larry Jay Tish, Bill McNally, RJ Norton, Sean Tumblety, etc.) involved with the production. A shorter 9-minute version using similar material was edited by Marc Vadeboncoeur and appears on the official DVD release of the film.
Jim did a super job editing this documentary – for me, besides bringing back some wonderful memories it made me prouder than ever of all we accomplished with Dangerous Crosswinds despite the countless obstacles in our way. I hope you enjoy this documentary as much as I did, thanks again Jim for all of your help.
